History-Master Gichin Funakoshi Is there a difference between Shotokai & Shotokan?

Shotokai karate is the original style of karate taught by its' founder Master Gichin Funakoshi. We follow all of his original teachings, and therefore are not considered a sports karate system. We seek the true meaning of the way (Do) through our kata that was passed down to us by Master Funakoshi. He believed as do we, that everything you will ever need from karate is found in kata.
